Esther was born and raised in the rural area of Grants Pass, Oregon. She married John Stark in 1971 and they had four sons. Esther was widowed in 1992 at the age of 41. She married Sean Griffin in 2015 and they reside in Yuma, Arizona.
She stays active with various clubs and has spent many hours giving back to her communities through volunteer programs.
As the motivational speaker at the Relay for Life Cancer Survivors Gala, Esther encourages attendees to take those first steps of faith to rise above their fears.
